Sometimes it's fun to make an artistic statement with flowers - to indulge in some whimsy and do things just to make someone smile.
Some of these images are from my annual participation in the Bouquets to Art exhibit at the de Young Museum. Floral designers are asked to select and then interpret a piece of art in the museum, with amazing results!
“I first became acquainted with Laurel’s work at Bouquets to Art at the de Young Museum last spring. There were over 100 spectacular floral displays, but Laurel’s arrangement stood out—it was not only beautiful, but it evoked an emotional response in me as well. Since then, Laurel has designed two bouquets for me, and they have been wonderful. Every day, as the flowers open, I feel as though I have a brand new work of art in my living room!”
